三、科研领域描述 (Description of the Research)
重大神经系统疾病,如PD、ALS、癫痫等都涉及大脑皮层的结构改变和功能紊乱。受限于研究手段和医学伦理,人们很难以人类为对象对这些疾病同时开展系统性病理进展、分子机理研究和干预治疗。以药物或基因工程手段建立的高度模拟人类疾病特征的非人灵长类动物模型上,综合运用多种技术手段,纵向追踪和解析疾病的发生发展全过程,探究疾病的发病机制,并寻找恰当的干预时机对可行的治疗方案进行全面的安全性和有效性评价。
