    二、科研领域 (Research Fields)

    重大神经系统疾病,如帕金森病(PD)、肌萎缩侧索硬化症(ALS)、癫痫等都涉及大脑皮层结构改变和功能紊乱。灵长类动物与人亲缘关系近,基因、生理和行为相似,是开展系统性病理进展、分子机理研究和干预治疗的理想模型。我们在解析并深入理解疾病机制基础上,发展和建立高度模拟人类疾病特征的病因性灵长类动物模型,综合运用多种技术手段,纵向追踪和解析疾病的发生发展全过程,探究开发恰当的治疗策略方法和干预手段,对治疗方案进行全面的安全性和有效性评价,推动临床转化。

     

     

    Major neurodegenerative diseases, includingParkinson's Disease (PD), Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), and epilepsy, involve alterations in cortical structures and brain dysregulation. Primates are ideal models for studies of disease progression, molecular mechanisms, and therapy development due to their similarities to humans. Building upon our understanding of disease mechanisms, we aim to develop etiological primate models mimicking human disease characteristics, track and analyze disease progression for therapeutic strategy development, and assess treatment safety and efficacy for clinical translation.

    2. Exploring new strategies and methods for celltherapy and neuromodulation interventions in complex neurological diseases using primate models.
